Davina McCall

Two honours stand out in McCall's record, and both reward endurance rather than a single hit. The MBE in the 2023 Birthday Honours recognised more than two decades of broadcasting, from late-night dating formats to prime-time reality and campaigning documentaries. The 2024 National Television Awards Special Recognition is the one that means most to fans, because it came from the industry she had worked in continuously since the late 1990s and acknowledged a presenter who never quite fit the polished mould. Her menopause documentaries added a different kind of distinction: they changed how British television and the NHS talk about women's health.
