David Hodo's legacy is tied to one of the most iconic roles in pop culture: the construction worker in Village People. He performed on "Y.M.C.A.," one of the best-selling singles of all time, and helped the group sell over 100 million records worldwide. His character's costume is preserved in the Smithsonian, and the group received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2008. Hodo's 30-year tenure as the construction worker makes him the longest-serving member in that role, a feat unmatched by any other Village People character performer.
