Records
Dave Mackay's career is marked by historic achievements. He was the driving force behind Tottenham's first double in 1961, and as player-manager, he led Derby County from the Second Division to the First Division title in just four years. He is one of the few to win league titles in both Scotland and England. Mackay was inducted into both the English and Scottish Football Halls of Fame as an inaugural member. In 1998, he was named a Football League 100 Legend. Statues in his honor stand at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and in Edinburgh, cementing his status as a true footballing icon.

First British club to win a European trophy
Mackay was a key player in Tottenham's 1963 European Cup Winners' Cup victory, making Spurs the first British club to win a European competition.
Player-manager to win top-flight title
Mackay is one of the few player-managers to win the English First Division title, achieving this with Derby County in 1972.
