Dara-san of Reiwa

Haruomi Tomotsuka created Dara-san of Reiwa to capture the quiet chaos of modern life through a lens of gentle absurdity. The story began as a webcomic on Tomotsuka's Twitter account in October 2021 before moving to official serialization on Kadokawa's ComicWalker and Nico Nico Seiga sites in March 2022. Readers follow an unnamed protagonist navigating daily routines with a distinct lack of ambition, finding humor in the mundane tasks that define the Reiwa era. This slice-of-life manga blends dry wit with relatable scenarios, offering a calm counterpoint to high-stakes narratives often found in contemporary Japanese comics.[edit]
