Swanson's four Gold Gloves place him among the elite defensive shortstops of his era. He is one of only a handful of players to win a Gold Glove in each of his first four full seasons. His 2022 Silver Slugger recognized his offensive breakout, and his World Series ring in 2021 capped a historic Braves run. He was the first overall pick in 2015 and later signed the largest free-agent contract in Cubs history, highlighting his value as a franchise cornerstone.
