DaniLeigh

Danielle Leigh Curiel, known to fans as DaniLeigh, was born on December 20, 1994, in Miami, Florida. She built her early reputation as a dancer, posting song covers on YouTube before relocating to Los Angeles to choreograph for other artists. That path led to a notable break: dancing in the video for Prince's 2013 single Breakfast Can Wait. In 2017, Def Jam Recordings signed her, and she began releasing mixtapes and singles that year, including the project Summer with Friends. Her 2018 debut album, The Plan, featured the hit Easy, a remix of which with Chris Brown climbed the R&B charts. DaniLeigh has also released the 2020 album Movie and the 2021 EP My Side. Across her career, she has appeared in a handful of music videos and TV spots, but her main output remains recorded music. At 31, she continues to write, record, and perform, blending R&B, hip-hop, and dance.[edit]
