On July 3, 2026, Madonna dropped her fifteenth studio album, Danceteria, a love letter to the downtown New York club scene that shaped her early career. Named after the legendary nightclub where she partied and performed in the early 1980s, the album fuses disco, electroclash, and French house into a cohesive, dance-floor-ready package. Madonna co-wrote and co-produced the record with Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Stuart Price, crafting a sound that nods to her past while feeling thoroughly modern.

The standard edition runs twelve tracks. Its title track interpolates Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side, a sly homage to the city's underground culture. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 350,000 equivalent units, and hit number one in fifteen other countries. It has sold over 5 million copies worldwide and earned a 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA.

Critics gave the album a Metacritic score of 78, praising its cohesive production and nostalgic energy, though some found the lyrics simple.
