DAMAC Properties
United Arab Emirates"Building the future of luxury living"
About
Hussain Sajwani launched DAMAC Properties in 2002 with a vision to redefine high-end living in the Middle East. The company quickly grew into the largest private real estate developer in the region, delivering over 50,000 homes and constructing more than 75 towers that now define Dubai's skyline. After listing on the Dubai Financial Market in early 2015, Sajwani executed a major buyout in 2018, paying 2.19 billion AED to take the firm private and secure a 72% stake.
Recent operations show aggressive momentum. In the first half of 2026 alone, the developer secured construction awards worth USD 2.72 billion and announced plans to hand over 8,800 units that year. This growth extends beyond local borders, with significant projects like the Nine Elms development in London and branded residences in Singapore adding international weight to their portfolio.
Beyond bricks and mortar, DAMAC has pivoted toward lifestyle branding through strategic acquisitions. In May 2026, the group partnered with Marquee Brands to acquire a majority stake in the Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli. They also strengthened their sports marketing presence by becoming a key sponsor for Oracle Red Bull Racing in February 2026.
