Cream's achievements are remarkable for a band that existed only three years. They won two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 1969. Their album Wheels of Fire made history as the first platinum-selling double album. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, and all three members were later inducted as solo artists. Rolling Stone ranked them #67 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and VH1 placed them #61. Their songs "Sunshine of Your Love" and "Crossroads" appear on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. These honors reflect their outsized influence on rock music and popular culture.
