Christopher Saunders

During his active career, Saunders received standard ecclesiastical honors associated with his rank as a bishop. These included papal awards like the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal, awarded for service to the Church. He was also recognized locally in the Kimberley region for his work with Indigenous communities prior to the allegations surfacing. However, all honors and distinctions were effectively nullified by his conviction. He has been stripped of any standing within the current church hierarchy and is now incarcerated. No awards were won after 2021.
