Chris Wood is New Zealand's greatest ever footballer in terms of international achievements. He holds the national team records for most caps (91) and most goals (45). He is one of only six New Zealanders to play in the Premier League and became the most expensive Oceania player of all time. At Nottingham Forest, he became the club's all-time leading Premier League goalscorer. His 20-goal season in 2024-25 was a historic milestone for both himself and New Zealand football.
