Chobits

Hideki Motosuwa stumbles upon a discarded personal computer in the shape of a young woman while scavenging through trash bins. He names this persocom Chi, the only word she can speak at first. Written and drawn by the manga collective Clamp, Chobits ran in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine from September 2000 to October 2002 before collecting into eight volumes. The story follows Hideki and Chi as they navigate life together, uncovering secrets about her origin while exploring what it means to connect with artificial beings designed to look human. This seinen series sits in the same universe as Angelic Layer, picking up years after that show's events.[edit]
