Records
Chester Thompson's career is a masterclass in versatility. He is one of the few drummers to have played with Frank Zappa, Weather Report, Genesis, and Santana. His drum part on Birdland is legendary among drummers. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1992, a testament to his peer recognition. He also received an honorary doctorate from Morgan State University.
