Chelsea Football Club, based in Fulham, West London, is one of England's most decorated clubs. Founded on March 10, 1905 at The Rising Sun pub, the club was created to fill the empty Stamford Bridge stadium, which remains its home with a capacity of 42,055. The club's colors are blue and white, earning them the nickname The Blues. Since 2022, the club has been owned by a consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, with Enzo Maresca as head coach.

Chelsea has won six top-flight league titles, including the First Division in 1955 and five Premier League titles in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2015, and 2017. They have also collected eight FA Cups, five League Cups, and four Community Shields. The idea for Chelsea FC was born at The Rising Sun pub on Fulham Road in 1905, when Henry Augustus Mears decided to create a club to fill his newly built Stamford Bridge stadium. The club was elected to the Football League and spent its early decades fluctuating between divisions. Ted Drake, appointed manager in 1952, revolutionized the team and led them to their first First Division title in 1955. The 1960s and 1970s brought cup success, with Dave Sexton winning the FA Cup in 1970 and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1971.

Financial struggles and relegation hit in the late 1970s and 1980s, but the club rebounded under managers like John Neal and Glenn Hoddle. The turning point was Roman Abramovich's purchase in 2003. Jose Mourinho arrived in 2004, delivering back-to-back Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006. European success followed: Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final on penalties, then defeated Manchester City in the 2021 final.
