Yoruichi Shihōin

Yoruichi was born into the Shihōin family, one of the four great noble clans of Soul Society. A prodigy from a young age, she became the first female captain of the 2nd Division and the head of the Onmitsukidō, the covert ops and assassination force. She earned the title 'Flash Goddess' for her unmatched speed. Over 100 years before the main story, her close friend Kisuke Urahara was framed for a crime by the villain Sōsuke Aizen. Yoruichi helped Urahara escape Soul Society, abandoning her posts and fleeing to the human world, where she lived in hiding disguised as a black cat.[edit]

Yoruichi is confident, playful, and mischievous, often teasing Ichigo and others with a sly smile. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and willing to risk everything for them. Despite her lighthearted demeanor, she is a serious and strategic fighter, carrying the weight of her past decisions. Yoruichi first appears in cat form, secretly guiding Ichigo and his friends through the Soul Society arc. She reveals her human form after training Ichigo to achieve Bankai in three days, a feat that shocks even the veteran Soul Reapers. During the Arrancar arc, she fights alongside the Gotei 13, battling the giant Arrancar Yammy and later unleashing her ultimate technique, Raijū Senkei, against Aizen. In the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, she returns as a key fighter against the Quincy, achieving a new form called 'Thunder Cat' to battle Askin Nakk Le Vaar.
