Pete Lattimer

Pete Lattimer grew up in a fractured household. His father Frank was an alcoholic, and his mother left when Pete was young, leaving him with a deep need for approval and a tendency to mask insecurity with humor. He joined the Secret Service, where he met his future partner Myka Bering. In the pilot episode, the pair accidentally triggers an artifact, a music box that incites violent rage, during a presidential protection detail. Instead of facing disciplinary action, they are recruited by Mrs. Frederic to work for Warehouse 13, a clandestine facility housing dangerous supernatural objects. Pete is impulsive, loud, and prone to cracking jokes even in life-threatening situations. He relies on intuition and gut feelings rather than procedure, which often puts him at odds with Myka's methodical approach. Beneath the bravado, he is emotionally astute and fiercely loyal, with a strong moral compass shaped by his difficult childhood.
