Norman Osborn was born into a wealthy family and inherited Oscorp, a cutting-edge technology corporation. Driven by ambition to create a super-soldier serum, he secretly experimented on himself with an unstable chemical compound. The formula granted him superhuman abilities but also fractured his psyche, giving birth to the maniacal Green Goblin persona. The Green Goblin first appeared as a mysterious villain in The Amazing Spider-Man #14, later revealed to be Norman Osborn. His defining moment came in The Amazing Spider-Man #121-122, where he murdered Gwen Stacy, a tragedy that haunted Spider-Man for decades. Norman seemingly died in that issue but returned years later, his memory erased. He later regained his memories and resumed his vendetta, eventually becoming a major force in the Marvel Universe. During the Dark Reign storyline, he manipulated public opinion to become director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and leader of the Dark Avengers, only to be exposed and fall from power.
