Beatrix Kiddo

Beatrix Kiddo was born on June 19, 1972, in California. She became one of the deadliest members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, trained by Bill himself. Her code name, Black Mamba, came from the highly venomous snake. Seeking to leave the assassin life after becoming pregnant with Bill's child, she fled to El Paso, Texas, and got engaged to Tommy Plympton, a music store owner. At her wedding rehearsal, Bill and the squad massacred everyone present, shot Beatrix in the head, and left her for dead. She fell into a four-year coma, losing her unborn child, or so she believed.[edit]

Beatrix is driven, methodical, and coldly determined when focused on vengeance. She shows little mercy to her targets but possesses a deep capacity for love, especially toward her daughter. She is pragmatic and resourceful, able to adapt to any combat situation. Despite her violent nature, she has a strong moral code, she refuses to kill innocents and shows respect for worthy opponents. In Volume 1, she kills Vernita Green in a suburban kitchen brawl and then battles O-Ren Ishii's army before a snow-garden duel. In Volume 2, she survives being buried alive by Budd, escapes using Pai Mei's one-inch punch, blinds Elle Driver in a trailer fight, and finally confronts Bill. The climax reveals her daughter B.B. is alive. After a peaceful dinner with Bill, she kills him with the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique and escapes with her daughter, crying tears of joy.[edit]
