All Might

Born Quirkless in a world where nearly everyone has a superpower, Toshinori Yagi idolized the previous Symbol of Peace. His life changed when he met Nana Shimura, the seventh user of One For All, who saw his heroic spirit and chose him as her successor. Under her training and later that of Gran Torino, Toshinori learned to master the stockpiling Quirk. He debuted as a hero in the United States, quickly rising to become the world's top hero. Five years before the main story, he confronted the villain All For One in a brutal battle that left him with a punctured stomach, destroyed respiratory system, and only a few hours of hero form per day.[edit]

All Might embodies the ideal of selfless heroism. He is cheerful, boisterous, and always ready with a reassuring smile, believing that a hero's presence alone can calm people. Underneath the bravado, he carries deep guilt over his inability to save everyone, especially Nana Shimura. Post-retirement, he becomes a teacher at U.A., grappling with his powerlessness.
