Chained Soldier

In a Japan grappling with an invasion from a hellish dimension known as Mato, the government forms a special military unit, the Mato Defense Force (MDF). These elite soldiers, all women with extraordinary abilities, are humanity's last line of defense against the monstrous denizens of Mato. The narrative kicks off when Yuuki Wakura, a young man, finds himself lost in this perilous world. He's saved from certain doom by Kyouka Uzen, a formidable officer within the MDF. This encounter sets Yuuki on a path that will forever alter his destiny.

Written by Takahiro and brought to life with illustrations by Yohei Takemura, Chained Soldier, originally titled Mato Seihei no Slave, first appeared on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ platform on January 5, 2019. This action-packed fantasy manga, which has also spawned an anime adaptation, explores themes of survival, duty, and the bonds forged in the face of overwhelming adversity.
