Records
Stoner's two MotoGP titles put him in rare company, particularly for winning with two different factories. His 38 premier-class victories came in just seven seasons, a remarkable strike rate. He was the second youngest champion in the sport's history at the time, and his 2007 season with Ducati remains a benchmark for a rider taming a difficult machine. His decision to retire at his peak only added to his legend.
