Carlos Hank Rhon

Carlos Hank Rhon's record is measured in balance sheets rather than trophies. Forbes put him 661st on its World's Billionaires list in 2022 with $4.4 billion, and his profile has stayed active on the magazine's site into 2026. Mexican business outlets have placed him as high as sixth-richest in the country. The $1.4 billion sale of Interacciones to Banorte stands as the transaction that defined a generation of Mexican regional banking, and the family's stake in Banorte has only grown in value since. What makes the record unusual is its silence: he accumulated all of it without a single interview, keynote or public appearance.
