Records
Cal Raleigh's 2025 season was one of the greatest by a catcher in MLB history. His 60 home runs broke the single-season record for a catcher, previously held by Johnny Bench (45 in 1970), and for a switch hitter, previously held by Mickey Mantle (54 in 1961). He became the first catcher to win the Home Run Derby and only the second catcher ever to win the Platinum Glove Award, joining Yadier Molina. His walk-off home run in 2022 to end the Mariners' 21-year playoff drought is one of the most iconic moments in franchise history. These achievements place him among the elite two-way players in the game.
