About
Brusque Futebol Clube, founded on 12 October 1987, is a Brazilian football club based in the city of Brusque, in the state of Santa Catarina. The club plays its home matches at Estádio Augusto Bauer, a ground in the city centre with a capacity of approximately 5,000. Brusque competes in the Campeonato Catarinense, the top state league, and has moved between Campeonato Brasileiro Série C and Série D in recent seasons.
The club's identity revolves around four colours: red, white, black and blue. This palette gives rise to the nickname Quadricolor and the club's self-styled title, O Quadricolor do Vale (the four-coloured one of the valley). Supporters also refer to the team as Bruscão, and the club markets itself as O Maior do Vale (the biggest in the valley).
Brusque's most significant achievement is the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D title, which earned promotion to Série C. At state level, the club won the Campeonato Catarinense in 1992 and has been crowned Copa Santa Catarina champion four times. The club has also participated in the Copa do Brasil, including in 2025.
History
Brusque Futebol Clube was established on 12 October 1987, in the city of Brusque, Santa Catarina. The club's early years were spent in regional and state competitions, and it achieved its first major honour by winning the Campeonato Catarinense in 1992. That state title remains the club's only top-flight state championship to date.
Over the following decades, Brusque competed primarily in the lower divisions of the Brazilian national league system. The club also found success in the Copa Santa Catarina, winning the competition four times, a feat that earned it the label tetracampeão da Copa Santa Catarina. These state-level triumphs helped maintain the club's profile within Santa Catarina.
The turning point came in 2019, when Brusque won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. The title brought promotion to Série C and represented the club's first national championship. Since then, Brusque has fluctuated between Série C and Série D, and in 2025 it participated in the Copa do Brasil, facing Ferroviária in a 1–1 draw. The club has also operated under the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) model, as reflected in its official social media handle Brusque Futebol Clube SAF.
