Bruce Johnstone

While Bruce Johnstone never stood on a World Championship podium, his place in motorsport history is secure. He was among the first South Africans to race in a Formula One World Championship event, helping to pave the way for future generations. His fourth-place finish at Oulton Park in 1962 showed he could compete with the best, even if his opportunities were limited. For fans of the sport's early years, his story is a reminder of the courage and skill required to race at the highest level with minimal support.
