Gallagher's career is defined by defying expectations. As a fifth-round draft pick who stood only 5-foot-9, he became a key contributor for the Montreal Canadiens over 14 seasons, serving as an alternate captain and helping the team reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2021. He ranks among the Canadiens' top scorers of his era and is the Vancouver Giants' all-time leader in goals and points. His international resume includes gold at the 2016 IIHF World Championship and bronze at the 2012 IIHF U20 World Championship.
