LATAM Airlines Group emerged on June 22, 2012, as the result of a merger between Chile's LAN Airlines and Brazil's TAM Linhas Aéreas. A dedicated budget of US$25 million is currently being deployed to equip more than 60 aircraft with satellite Wi-Fi systems.
