Bosco Ntaganda

Bosco Ntaganda has no accolades or honours in any conventional sense. His only recognition is negative: he is the subject of UN Security Council sanctions under resolution 1533, which imposed an assets freeze and travel ban. He was also the subject of ICC arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity. His conviction on 18 counts stands as the only formal judgment against him. He has no Hall of Fame inductions, honorary degrees, Walk of Fame stars, national honours, or humanitarian awards. His distinction is as a convicted war criminal, not a celebrated figure.
