Founded on July 28, 1900, the club's name derives from a Latinized form of Prussia, a popular moniker for German clubs during the era of the Kingdom of Prussia. Borussia Mönchengladbach's rise from a modest local club to a European powerhouse is a story of timing, vision, and a relentless attacking philosophy.
