Iglesias's career is defined by his role in ending Betis's 17-year trophy drought with the 2022 Copa del Rey. He also became part of Bayer Leverkusen's historic unbeaten domestic double in 2024. His 22-goal season at Zaragoza remains one of the most prolific in Segunda División history. As of 2026, he is one of the few Spanish strippers to have won both the Copa del Rey and Bundesliga.

AwardsIglesias has won three major team trophies: the Copa del Rey with Real Betis in 2022, and the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double with Bayer Leverkusen in 2024. He has not won any major individual awards.
