Wound & Bandage

Umihoshi Nanai launched the series as a one-shot in February 2024, establishing a tone that treats emotional trauma with the same weight as physical injury. The story uses the metaphor of bandages to explore how people navigate intimacy after suffering setbacks. Kodansha serialized the full run starting in August 2024 under the Monthly Magazine Base imprint on the Comic Days platform.

The narrative focuses on characters confronting their pasts while building new relationships. Unlike standard rom-coms, this entry adopts a seinen perspective to handle complex psychological dynamics without relying on simple tropes. By July 2026, the publisher had released five collected tankōbon volumes.

An anime adaptation arrived in October 2026 when Crunchyroll revealed a teaser trailer and confirmed a January 9, 2027 premiere. This project marks the first major expansion for the franchise since its initial serialization began two years earlier. [edit]
