The Titan's Curse
Rick Riordan
Overview
Percy Jackson is having a rough winter. On a rescue mission to save two powerful half-bloods, Bianca and Nico di Angelo, from a military school, his friend Annabeth Chase is kidnapped by a manticore. The goddess Artemis vanishes while hunting a dangerous monster, and Percy, along with Grover, Thalia Grace, and the Hunters of Artemis, must embark on a quest to save them both. The journey takes them through the Labyrinth, into the clutches of the Titan lord Kronos, and to a final showdown at Mount Tamalpais where Percy faces an impossible choice.
Published May 1, 2007 by Miramax Books, the 312-page hardcover landed on The New York Times children's series bestseller list and was named a Book Sense Top Thirty Summer Pick for 2010. Critics praised its blend of action, humor, and emotional depth. The audiobook, narrated by Jesse Bernstein, brought the adventure to life for a wider audience.
The novel deepens the series' lore, introducing the Hunters of Artemis and exploring the character of Nico di Angelo, who becomes a fan-favorite. The escalating conflict with Kronos raises the stakes for the rest of the series. A television adaptation is planned for the third season of the Disney+ series Percy Jackson & the Olympians.
