The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World

Rin Takanashi starts her journey as a 28-year-old caregiver and acupuncturist returning from a fishing trip when she gets summoned to a fantasy world. The local party immediately discards her for a younger candidate, but Rin finds solace in a hidden skill that materializes a modern camper van. This vehicle transforms into her mobile kitchen and home base as she explores the realm without engaging in combat or political schemes.

The light novel series by Yoneori began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in June 2019 before Fujimi Shobo acquired it for print publication under their Kadokawa Books imprint in April 2020. Akane Nito provided the illustrations for the run that concluded its original web arc in February 2021. The story emphasizes self-sufficiency and the healing power of food rather than traditional dungeon crawling.

Adaptations expanded the franchise significantly with a manga by Nana Kogami launching in September 2020 and an anime television series produced by EMT Squared premiering on July 6, 2026. The show aired on HIDIVE in North America and featured voice actors like Shoya Chiba and Sumire Morohoshi. Promotional campaigns included teaser trailers released in April 2026 and a final trailer highlighting the ending theme in June 2026. [edit]
