Teen Titans Go!

Teen Titans Go! brings the animated antics of Robin, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Cyborg to the comic book page. This DC Comics series, written primarily by J. Torres with art by Todd Nauck and Larry Stucker, captures the same humor and energy as the 2003 TV show. Each issue delivers a self-contained story where the five teenage superheroes balance crime-fighting with everyday teen drama, video game tournaments, cooking disasters, and school projects often spiral into chaos. The comic pulls in a colorful cast of DC characters, from Slade to the H.I.V.E. Five, expanding the universe beyond the core team without ever losing its lighthearted, comedic tone.

Running 55 issues from November 2003 to August 2008, the series was a cornerstone of DC's Johnny DC imprint for all-ages readers. J. Torres wrote the bulk of the run, with occasional fill-ins by Adam Beechen and others. Todd Nauck's expressive art perfectly mimicked the show's character designs and comedic timing, making the transition from screen to page feel seamless. The series also introduced original concepts, like new minor villains and gag-filled side plots, that would later echo in the 2013 Teen Titans Go! cartoon.

Collected into nine trade paperbacks starting with Truth, Justice, Pizza!, the series remained a steady seller and a favorite among young readers. While it never won major industry awards, it frequently appeared on library association lists of recommended comics for kids.
