Tamon's B-Side

Utage Kinoshita is a high school girl who works as a housekeeper to support her family. Her idol is Tamon Fukuhara, the charismatic lead singer of the popular idol group F/ACE. When she lands a cleaning job at a new client's apartment, she is shocked to discover that her client is none other than Tamon himself. But the perfect, polished idol she adores on stage is a completely different person in private: a messy, lazy, and unmotivated young man who lives in chaos and only cleans when forced. Utage must navigate the stark contrast between Tamon's public persona (the A-Side) and his private reality (the B-Side). As she becomes his secret housekeeper and confidante, comedic and heartfelt interactions ensue, exploring the gap between idealized celebrity images and authentic human flaws.

Written and illustrated by Yuki Shiwasu, the series began as a one-shot published in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on August 5, 2021. Due to positive reader response, it was serialized starting October 20, 2021. The English edition is published by Viz Media under their Shojo Beat imprint, with the first volume released in 2023. An anime television series adaptation by J.C.Staff aired from January to March 2026. The series has sold over 2 million copies in Japan and was nominated for the Next Manga Award 2022 in the print manga category.[edit]
