Sometimes Even Reality Is a Lie! is a Japanese manga series by Niichi that began serialization on Twitter in August 2018. The story follows a group of characters whose everyday lives, school, friendships, and budding romance, are gradually disrupted by the unsettling realization that the world around them is not always trustworthy. People hide their true selves, events are deliberately fabricated, and the line between truth and deception blurs. Niichi balances lighthearted slice-of-life moments with psychological twists, building a larger mystery about the nature of lies and trust while keeping the focus on character relationships.

The series was first released in episodic chapters directly on Niichi's Twitter account, gaining a dedicated online following through its intimate, bite-sized storytelling. Chukei Publishing, an imprint of Kadokawa, collected the chapters into print volumes under the Kitora comic label. As of February 2026, eight volumes have been released. Anime News Network called it "a quiet, thoughtful take on how lies shape relationships, wrapped in a deceptively simple romantic comedy." The series was nominated for the Next Manga Award in the Web Manga category in 2022, finishing in the top 20, and received a nomination for the Kadokawa Light Novel & Manga Award in 2023.
