Taro Sakamoto was once the most feared hitman in the underworld, a legend known for his unmatched skill and ruthless efficiency. But everything changed when he met Aoi, a cheerful convenience store clerk. Sakamoto fell in love, quit the assassin life, married Aoi, had a daughter named Hana, and opened a small convenience store. He let himself go, gaining weight and becoming unrecognizable to his former associates. His peaceful domestic existence is shattered, however, when old enemies and bounty hunters track him down, forcing him to defend his family while adhering to his vow never to kill again.

To protect his loved ones, Sakamoto reluctantly taps into his old skills, using everyday objects like pens and shopping carts as weapons. He gathers a ragtag found family: Shin Asakura, a clairvoyant hitman; Lu Xiaotang, a former crime boss's daughter; and Heisuke Mashimo, a sniper. Together, they run the store and face threats from the assassin underworld. The series blends over-the-top action with slice-of-life comedy, exploring themes of redemption and the struggle between past and present identity.

Yuto Suzuki's art style is expressive and dynamic, earning praise for its inventive fight choreography. The manga debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump on November 21, 2020, and has since released 27 tankōbon volumes as of May 2026. By August 2025, the series had over 15 million copies in circulation, making it a major hit for Shueisha. The English edition is published by Viz Media, with translation by Camellia Nieh and lettering by Eve Grandt.[edit]
