Rookies

Masanori Morita's Rookies tells the story of Koichi Kawato, an amateur teacher who takes over a high school baseball club filled with delinquents. When Kawato arrives at his new post in 1998, he faces immediate hostility from students who threaten him rather than listen. Instead of quitting, he persists and begins to recognize their hidden potential. The team eventually assembles under his guidance, dedicating themselves to reaching the Koshien Spring baseball tournament.[edit]
