Eugene Korekishi walks into high school convinced that ghosts do not exist. He relies on science and logic, a stance that clashes violently when Mogari recruits him for the Phantom Buster Club. The group hunts entities slipping through reality cracks, forcing Eugene to confront a world where ancient spirits coexist with modern technology. His skepticism becomes the team's anchor as they navigate absurd supernatural threats alongside genuine danger.

Neoshoco launched this monthly series in August 2023 within Jump Square, blending shōnen action with school life comedy. The narrative introduces Kaoru Kanzaki and Koutarou Tamon to complete a four-person unit dedicated to exorcising phantoms. Each chapter expands the lore regarding how these hunters function in a semi-hidden capacity while maintaining professional duty among students.

The franchise gained momentum quickly enough to secure a TV anime adaptation announced in September 2026. Scheduled for a 2027 premiere, the show aims to bring Neoshoco's humor to life with vivid animation.
