Magical Girl Raising Project

Asari Endō and illustrator Maruino launched a dark twist on the magical girl genre with Magical Girl Raising Project in June 2012. Takarajimasha released seventeen volumes under their Kono Light Novel ga Sugai! Bunko imprint, while Yen Press brought the English translation to readers. The story strips away the typical friendship and hope found in standard series. Instead, it pits young girls against each other in a deadly game where only one winner survives.[edit]
