    Overview

Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura have been childhood friends for as long as they can remember. But their friendship comes with a twist: they have been playing a long-running game where each tries to make the other blush or get flustered by saying "I love you." The first one to give in and admit genuine feelings loses. As they enter high school, the stakes get higher and the tactics more creative, from cooking challenges to elaborate seduction schemes. Both are stubborn and prideful, refusing to be the first to break.

The series, written and illustrated by Yuki Domoto, began serialization on Shogakukan's Sunday Webry platform on December 24, 2021. Nine tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of 2026. Viz Media publishes the English edition in North America, with Volume 3 and Volume 4 available by November 2024. An anime adaptation by Felix Film premiered on April 14, 2026, directed by Azuma Tani and streamed on Crunchyroll.

Domoto's health caused a hiatus around March 2024, shifting the release schedule from biweekly to monthly updates. The series has built a dedicated fanbase with active Discord communities and discussions comparing the manga and anime. Critics praise its blend of comedy and heartfelt moments, exploring the difficulty of transitioning from a childhood dynamic to genuine romantic feelings.
