I Lost My Adventurer's License, but It's Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now

Kenji once held a high rank among adventurers until age and declining physical stats forced the guild to revoke his license. Rather than finding a new job or training harder, he chooses to focus entirely on raising his young daughter who shows early signs of magical talent. The story moves away from dungeon crawling to document the daily logistics of single fatherhood in a fantasy world, from budgeting for groceries to navigating school enrollment for a child with dangerous powers.

The original light novel series began as a web serial on Shōsetsuka ni Narō before SB Creative picked it up for their GA Bunko imprint. Writer Manimani Ononata completed the text run with four volumes released between August 2018 and October 2022. Illustrator Fuzichoco provided the character designs that defined the franchise's visual identity, blending soft domestic scenes with standard fantasy tropes.

While the novels concluded quickly, the manga adaptation by Fumi Tadaura continued serialization long after the source material ended. That version launched on Square Enix's Manga Up! platform in November 2018 and expanded to at least forty-nine volumes by mid-2026. An anime television series produced by Studio Palette is set to premiere in January 2027, marking the first time the property reaches a global broadcast schedule. [edit]
