Overview
Giant Ojō-sama (Japanese: ジャイアントお嬢様, Hepburn: Jaianto Ojō-sama) is a Japanese gag manga by Nikumura Q, serialized on Shogakukan's Sunday Webry since July 30, 2021. The story follows Oriko Fujidō, heir to the Fujidō conglomerate, the world's leading vending machine developer. Her life takes a wild turn when a monster attacks her city and her butler, Dr. Sebastion, slips her an experimental energy drink that makes her grow to gigantic proportions. What follows is a chaotic blend of slapstick comedy and high-society satire as Oriko navigates daily life at an enormous size, often using her stature to lead the city in unexpected ways.
The series thrives on the absurdity of wealth and privilege. Oriko receives an entire city as a birthday gift, a detail that sets the tone for a world where excess is normal. Her growth, from 180 cm to 184 cm (and beyond), becomes a running gag that fuels physical comedy and social commentary. The manga's art and timing keep the humor sharp, and its unique premise has earned a dedicated fanbase, including an active Reddit community and a TV Tropes page.
An anime adaptation by Tatsunoko Production was announced in March 2025, with Hiroshi Ikehata directing. It's scheduled to premiere in January 2027, promising to bring Oriko's oversized antics to a wider audience. With 11 volumes released so far, the manga continues to run, and fans eagerly await each new chapter.
