Fire Force

Atsushi Ōkubo's Fire Force is a shonen manga that burns bright with action and mystery. Set in a world where spontaneous human combustion creates flaming monsters called Infernals, the story follows Shinra Kusakabe, a young man with the power to ignite his feet and move at incredible speeds. He joins Special Fire Force Company 8, a brigade of pyrokinetic firefighters tasked with extinguishing Infernals and uncovering the truth behind the phenomenon. The series ran in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine from September 2015 to February 2022, collected into 34 volumes. Ōkubo's signature style, a blend of supernatural battles and quirky humor, is on full display.

The manga also serves as a prequel to his earlier hit, Soul Eater, with subtle connections for longtime fans. Kodansha USA handles the English release. By May 2022, circulation had topped 20 million copies. An anime adaptation by David Production aired three seasons between 2019 and 2026.[edit]
