Dark Gathering

Keitaro Gamou walks through life with a secret that turns every street corner into a trap. His high spiritual sensitivity acts like a beacon for vengeful spirits, drawing them to him with gruesome results. This constant exposure leaves him traumatized and physically battered, yet he survives by relying on an unlikely partner. Kayako Iwanaga, a young girl with a dark past, hunts these entities not to destroy them but to capture them in jars for her own collection.

Kayako was abducted as a child by the Great Onmyoji, a powerful spirit who murdered her mother. She believes gathering enough ghosts will allow her to resurrect her parent and defeat the entity holding her soul hostage. Together, Keitaro and Kayako travel across Japan to locate the most dangerous spirits, blending visceral body horror with the dynamic pacing of a shonen adventure. Their journey exposes the psychological toll of their work while delivering intense exorcism sequences that leave little room for comfort. [edit]
