Taiki Inomata spends his final year at Eimei Junior High trying to make the badminton club while secretly pining for Chinatsu Kano, a basketball star he has watched since middle school. When a housing shortage forces them into a shared dormitory, their daily lives become intertwined through early morning practices and late-night study sessions. The narrative avoids rushing their connection, instead letting their bond grow through shared exhaustion and mutual respect for each other's athletic goals.

Kōji Miura brings technical precision to the badminton sequences, detailing footwork and racket mechanics that distinguish this series from typical sports romances. Readers witness the grueling reality of training camps and the psychological pressure of tournament matches alongside the characters' personal struggles. The story spans five years in Weekly Shōnen Jump before concluding in July 2026 with all romantic and competitive threads resolved within its 26 collected volumes. [edit]
