Overview
Itsuki Minami, a street-smart junior high student nicknamed Ikki or Crow, stumbles into a world where gravity is optional. After losing a fight to the Storm Riders, he discovers Air Trecks (AT), motorized inline skates that let riders glide through the air and perform impossible stunts. Oh! Great launched this series in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in October 2002, and it ran for nearly a decade until May 2012. The story quickly escalates from local school rivalries to a global conflict involving factions like the Bonds and Moonlight, all vying for control of the Trophaeum Tower.
The narrative weaves together extreme sports action with supernatural elements as characters push their bodies and machines to the limit. Ikki joins the Storm Riders team led by Nabe before becoming part of the larger Ryuusei organization. Throughout the run, the manga explores themes of freedom and loyalty while introducing complex fighting styles tied to specific AT techniques. The final arc sees Ikki reach the top of the tower, though the journey demands significant personal sacrifice and emotional growth.
