Boa Hancock

Boa Hancock was born on Amazon Lily, an island inhabited solely by the warrior women of the Kuja tribe. As a child, she and her two younger sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, were kidnapped by slave traders and sold to the World Nobles of the Mary Geoise. For years, they were forced to eat Devil Fruits for the Nobles' amusement—Hancock consumed the Mero Mero no Mi, a Paramecia that turns people to stone. They were branded with the slave mark of the Hoof of the Celestial Dragon on their backs, a shame they later concealed with snake tattoos. The three sisters eventually escaped with the help of Silvers Rayleigh, the former first mate of the Roger Pirates, who happened to be present during a visit by the Nobles. They returned to Amazon Lily, where Hancock was accepted back and later became the empress of the Kuja tribe. To protect her people and gain the World Government's protection, she accepted the position of one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.[edit]

Hancock's first major arc is the Amazon Lily Arc, where Luffy washes ashore after the Sabaody incident. She initially plans to execute him but is moved by his compassion when he helps her sisters and shows no fear of her slave brand. She falls in love with him and provides him passage to Impel Down. During the Impel Down Arc, she smuggles Luffy into the prison and fights alongside him, using her powers to petrify guards. In the Marineford War Arc, she openly defies the Marines, declaring her love for Luffy and attacking anyone who threatens him. After Ace's death, she takes Luffy to Amazon Lily to recover, protecting him from the Marines. During the Reverie Arc, she attends as a Warlord but is shown worrying about Luffy's escalating actions. In the Wano Country Arc, it is revealed that the Blackbeard Pirates attacked Amazon Lily; Hancock single-handedly petrified many of them, including a former Warlord, forcing Blackbeard to retreat.
