About This Album
Dolly Parton returned to the studio for her forty-fourth solo effort, Blue Smoke, a project that celebrates her deep roots in country music. Released first in Australia and New Zealand on January 31, 2014, the record reached North America later that spring on May 13 before hitting Ireland and Europe in early June. The album arrived via Dolly Records and features sixteen tracks of warm, acoustic-driven soundscapes that highlight Parton's signature vocal style.
Themes of love, loss, and resilience weave through songs like Blue Smoke and Goodbye, creating an intimate listening experience. This collection stands as a testament to her enduring career without relying on modern production tricks.
