William Frederic Burr arrived in Canton, Massachusetts, on June 10, 1968, before launching a career that would redefine modern stand-up. He built his reputation on sharp, confrontational humor that dissects social issues, politics, and the absurdities of daily life. Critics quickly labeled him a "comedian's comedian," while Rolling Stone crowned him the undisputed heavyweight champ of rage-fueled humor. His specials like You People Are All the Same and I'm Sorry You Feel That Way showcase this distinct voice, leading to later hits such as Walk Your Way Out, Paper Tiger, and the upcoming Drop Dead Years. This foundation allowed him to transition seamlessly into acting without losing his edge. Burr expanded his reach through memorable television roles, including various characters on Chappelle's Show and Patrick Kuby in the AMC crime drama Breaking Bad. He voiced the lead character in the Netflix animated sitcom F Is for Family, which ran from 2015 to 2021. More recently, he joined the Star Wars universe as Migs Mayfeld in The Mandalorian.
